A very pale and tired Victoria Beckham wore what looked like fluffy angel wings as she launched her latest perfume in Manchester.

Posh was at Harvey Nichols to launch the new his and hers fragrances called Beckham Signatures. Apparently the event was supposed to take place in London but Victoria chose to go up north instead. “I said please can I go to Manchester instead? I love Manchester, it’s got a really good feel to it. I’m really excited about coming back because, of course, it’s where I met David.”

Victoria strutted down a lavender carpet in her angel wings before heading inside to meet fans and sign bottles of the fragrance.

Lindsay Lohan is in the midst of a very public feud with her father after he publicly claimed Lindsay’s girlfriend, Samantha Ronson (sister of music producer Mark), was using the star.

The 22-year-old actress has always had a stormy relationship with father Michael Lohan, but the pair reunited when she was in rehab last year and seemed to be getting closer. But that’s all out the window now that Papa Lohan has criticised Samantha in the press.

“Samantha is using my daughter,” he claimed. “This is not in Lindsay's best interest. Let's just say I hope Lindsay starts opening her eyes and realises who the people using her are... Samantha drinks and passes the drinks under the table to Lindsay, and behind the scenes it gets worse and worse.”

Sam and Lindsay both responded with angry rants on their MySpace pages. Lindsay wrote: “If you have something to say to me, say it to my face. That's what I have believed my whole life. Don't be a coward and say it to others first, let alone all the media in the world...

He has become a public embarrassment and a bully to my family, my co-workers, my friends, and a girl that means the world to me (its obvious who that is)… Samantha has not and would never sell me out.”

But it’s not going to end there – rumours say Lindsay’s father is planning a tell-all TV special about the Lohan family secrets!

Mel C is expecting her first baby with her boyfriend of six years, property developer Thomas Starr. Both are said to be “delighted” with the news.

A friend told the Daily Mirror: “Melanie is over the moon at the prospect of becoming a mum for the first time. The girls are so pleased for her and have said they’re only a phone call away to pass on any parenting tips. Melanie loved being around their kids on the band’s recent tour and is delighted she’s now one of the gang.”

Rumours of a pregnancy began last week when the Spice Girl performed a solo gig in a flowing maternity dress, rather than her usual uniform of figure-hugging jeans and a vest top. She is the last of the five Spice Girls to become a mother.

In other baby news, Gwen Stefani has given birth to a boy, Zuma Nesta Rock, in Los Angeles, with husband Gavin Rossdale at her side. The couple already have a two-year-old son, Kingston. And Matt Damon's wife, Luciana, gave birth to a daughter, Gia Zavala, the couple's second.

Kerry Katona has just been declared bankrupt by the High Court. The troubled mother-of-four failed to deliver the final £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill.

The bankruptcy petition was issued against Katona in January. She has paid back most of the monies owing, and two weeks ago was given a final reprieve until today to find the remaining sum.

In June, Kerry’s barrister told the court that the star was expecting payments of £472,000 before the end of August, including £291,000 for work already complete.

Kerry was not present at the hearing in London.

American comedian Roseanne Barr has launched a shocking attack on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The former sitcom star claimed the new parents weren’t nearly as charitable as they liked the public to think, in a post on her blog: "Evil spawn Angelina Jolie and her vacuous hubby Brad Pitt make about $40 million a year in violent, psychopathic movies and give away three of it to starving children, trying to look as if they give a crap about humanity as they spit out more dunces that will consume more than their fair share and wreck the earth even more.”

Roseanne goes on to rant about how Angelina claims not to know who to support in the upcoming presidential election: “Aren't you supposed to be somewhat enlightened, or do you not know that the African daughter you hold in every picture had parents who suffered and died because of the republican party's worldwide economic assault on Africa?”

Yes, you read right... West End producers are meeting this week to discuss the possibility of a musical based on David Beckham’s life.

To be titled David Beckham: The Theatre of Dreams, the musical follows Becks’ early career with Man U and the influence of Alex Ferguson on the young football player, through to him meeting Victoria, captaining England and gaining global superstardom.

“Beckham’s story is a modern-day fairytale of heroes, villains, love, Manchester United and what it means to lead your country,” explained Mark Archer, the writer of the musical. “His rise from obscurity to international stardom, his universally acknowledged gifts as a supreme sportsman, and his Hollywood lifestyle... all have the elements of an aspirational fable.”

Kelly Brook and Billy Zane have split again... this time for good.

According to reports, Kelly ended the couple’s four-year relationship in an emotional phone call last week.

The pair briefly broke up in April but reunited after the actor wooed back Kelly who, at 28, is 14 years his junior.

A source close to the couple said of the split: “They’re still the best of friends but any romantic spark has well and truly gone. It’s really sad but there’s no one else involved.”

The couple were due to get married in Kent last year but Kelly kept delaying the nuptials, believing that she was too young to get married.

Peaches Geldof arrived back in the UK last night after her secret Las Vegas wedding to American rocker Max Drummey, following a whirlwind four-week romance.

The feisty 19-year-old is gearing up for a showdown with her father, Sir Bob, who is said to be “incandescent with rage” over his daughter’s actions.

“He’s worried she has made a huge mistake,” a source told the Mirror. “She is still very young and he doesn’t want her to do anything she will regret.”

Max stayed in the US, but will join his new bride in the UK this weekend, when he will meet his new father-in-law for the first time.

It looks like Jennifer Aniston is unlucky in love once more amid reports that John Mayer has ended the pair’s romance.

The Mirror states that the couple made the split official earlier this week after a trial separation. John, who at 30 is nine years younger than Jen, was apparently scared off by Jennifer constantly talking about the couple’s future.

“Contrary to reports, Jen didn’t want to have kids or marry this year, but she did want to set a timetable for their future together,” a source told the newspaper. “She also wanted him to assure her he would cut down his tours in the future when they did eventually have children.”

The pair went public with their romance in April and were snapped canoodling poolside at a Miami hotel. Shortly after, Jennifer accompanied the singer/songwriter on his UK tour.

Mayer has a reputation as a ladies’ man – previous girlfriends include Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Mandy Moore and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Lily Allen has responded to the controversy created when she had a double wardrobe malfunction last week. Wearing a loose-fitting t-shirt, the pop star's breast popped out on two occasions in one day - each time caught on camera by the paparazzi. In a post on her MySpace blog, Allen refuted claims that the incidents were a publicity stunt, reasoning that it was "very hot in London" and "that it's no secret [she doesn't] like wearing bras."

The singer also elaborated on her efforts to stay out of the media spotlight: "If i wanted publicity , i'd be accepting invitations not to mention money for turning up to glamourous events . I'm actually trying really hard to be out of the public eye , as I'm really proud of the work i've put into my album and I want people to appreciate the music , yes I enjoy attention and praise , thats why i went into this job . But don't accuse me of purposely slipping out of my clothes to get attention and press . I hate the fact that there are always 10 middle aged men following me everywhere that i go."

There could soon be another star-studded Girls Aloud wedding gracing the pages of Hello or OK, with the news that Sarah Harding and her boyfriend of one year, Tom Crane, are planning to marry and have children.

“We have already spoken about starting a large family, and marriage, and will do so soon,” Tom revealed.

Sarah split with her DJ boyfriend earlier in the year after rows over her close friendship with her backing dancer on the recent Girls Aloud tour. But Tom insists he trusts his girlfriend. “I have to see her with all these guys every single day of the week, so it's all just part of it. I just have to swallow and accept she's got all these dancers around her.”

When US presidential candidate John McCain used Paris Hilton’s image without her permission in a political advertisement earlier this week, she wasn’t impressed. The ad compared his popular rival, Barack Obama, to ditzy celebrities like Paris and Britney Spears. So Paris filmed a response video, which you can watch here.

Reclining in a swimsuit in her back garden, Paris calls 71-year-old McCain “the oldest celebrity in the world” and a “wrinkly white-haired guy” from “the olden days”. The heiress also jokes that she’s “totally ready” to lead America before launching into an impressive spiel on her plans to solve the US energy crisis. It’s definitely worth a watch.

Obviously Paris has had help with the video, but she deserves full marks for being so willing to poke fun at herself and her ditzy persona.

Morgan Freeman is in a serious condition after being involved in a car crash in Mississippi on Sunday night, US time.

According to local reports, the 71-year-old actor was driving along the Mississippi Highway when his car went off the road and flipped several times.

Freeman and his passenger were cut free from the car by emergency crews and airlifted to a Memphis hospital. According to reports, the star was conscious and talking at the scene. "All I can say is one word: his condition is 'serious,'" a hospital spokesperson told reporters.

The prolific actor can currently be seen in The Dark Knight.

UPDATE: Morgan Freeman broke his left arm and shoulder, but is on the mend after undergoing four-and-a-half hours of surgery to reconnect nerves and repair damage to his arm and hand.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have introduced their twins to the world in a photo spread in Hello! magazine.

Three weeks after the birth of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, the stars reveal how the newborns are settling in with their four other children, Maddox, 7, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and two-year-old Shiloh. “It is chaos,” Angelina admits, “but we are managing it and having a wonderful time.”

The couple also used the interview to dismiss rumours they had IVF treatment. "If they had been conceived through IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it. But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems," Angelina said.

The family of eight are spending time at their rented mansion in Provence, but are expected to move back to the US in the coming weeks.

Britney’s father will remain in control of her finances and personal affairs for the rest of the year, after a judge extended Jamie Spears’s power over many aspects of his daughter’s life.

Jamie was named the legal conservator of Britney’s estate on February 1 after his troubled daughter was sectioned twice January. His powers were due to expire this week.

"The extension of the conservatorship was at the request and suggestion of Britney's doctors," a friend told People magazine. "They've indicated she's made great improvement, but it's a work in progress. Jamie Spears doesn't want the conservatorship to last a day longer than the doctors recommend."

Britney’s father has control over who she can spend time with, and has appointed 24 hour bodyguards to keep her out of trouble. Earlier this week, a temporary restraining order against Britney’s one-time friend and manager, Sam Lufti, expired, but apparently the singer has no desire to have him back in her life. Mother Lynne Spears had accused Lufti of drugging her daughter.
